Unreliable energy

You CANNOT make a reliable energy supply out of unreliable energy sources.

Of course, have ing said that, it is clear that the greenies/alarmists really do not think reliable energy is something we need. THey have no idea how disruptive it will be when the UK suffers irregular but frequent losses of power altogether over random regions of the country. A healthy, thriving and responsible (with the wealth to clean up, fix mistakes, and not pollute, excluding CO2, of course) modern society REQUIRES reliable cheap energy. It is the lack of such energy that causes all of the world's suffering.
Wind or solar power should only be used as an ancillary source to take some of the load off the coal and nuclear plants.

I saw a huge roadside sign in mid-Pennsylvania which said " Sun sets, Wind dies." That about covers it.
